45 minute call
Most calls at work are around 5-7 minutes. Or should be. Every once in a while, you'll get someone with a lot of questions or that takes forever finding their card or something. Long calls are anything 15 minutes or over. Tonight, I was talking to a lady for 45 minutes. I closed the sale, but we were just chatting away about random things. She was telling me about a car accident she'd been in, and all the problems she had from that. That started when I asked if she was allergic to any medications. I mentioned I was pregnant at one point, so she was telling me about the ultrasounds they had when she was pregnant and how they kept telling her the baby was a girl, when it turned out to be a girl. They never got a good angle or shot on the ultrasounds. And how her son only wears brand names so boys aren't always cheaper than girls. All sorts of random things. She was a funny lady. Apparently she was talking to a girl at the company that does our phone surveys and when she gave her date of birth, the girl said, dang you're old. And she said and your momma didn't teach you any manners. Apparently the girl hung up then and a supervisor called her back and apologized saying the girl said whatever came into her mind and was few cans shy of a six pack. I hope auditing has fun listening to all 45 minutes of that call.

Glucose Test
So I had to take my glucose test last week. The test actually wasn't too bad. The hardest part was fasting for the 3-4 hours before. I was soo hungry. I got there, gave them all my information and they gave me GlucoCrush. I had to drink all 10oz of it in 5 minutes. 50mg of glucose. I've heard different things from different people. Some people really like it, others hate it. For me, it just tasted like orange soda with extra syrup in it. My doctor told me its common to get nauseous drinking that much sugar on an empty stomach. It didn't make me feel sick at all, my hands were just a little shaky from all the sugar. And Raptor was kicking like crazy. I had to wait an hour and then get blood drawn. Getting my blood drawn is no big deal now. The first time I was a little nervous. I had never had blood drawn before I got pregnant.
We had our doctor appointment this morning. I was not excited for this appointment. It was such a relief though when she told my glucose levels were good. I did not want to be a gestational diabetic. The doctor said I was slightly anemic, but nothing to be worried about. I was barely below normal. Josh is making me eat more red meat now. In fact, we got burgers on the way back from the appointment.

28 Weeks
As of today, I am 28 weeks pregnant and am starting the third and final trimester! I can't believe I'm already in the third trimester. I will have a baby in 3 months. Where has the time gone? But at the same time, I feel like I've been pregnant forever. The sickness of the first trimester seems so long ago.
I have to go do the glucose test to find out if I am a gestational diabetic today. Boo. I've been putting it off. I got the lab request for it, at my last doctor appointment. Like over 3 weeks ago. Whoops. I'm supposed to get it done between 26 and 28 weeks. And seeing how today marks 28 weeks, and I get off work at 2, I figured today would be the day to do it. I'm supposed to fast for 3-4 hours before the test. Its only been 2 hours and I am already starving. At least I only have one hour of work left. I have been procrastinating this test, since I kind of don't want to know the results. My mom was a gestational diabetic for all 4 of us and apparently genetics is one of the risk factors for gestational diabetes. And so is being Asian. Yay.
On a lighter note, Josh figured out how to work Twitter last night. It was funny to watch. Both of his sisters are very into social media and have all sorts of accounts on like Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc. He wanted to show them he was cool too. He was asking me last night how to write on their wall. "Wife, how do I tweet something? Oh, wait, new tweet. There it is." And he was so proud of himself for tagging both of them in his tweet and for using a hashtag.

Sooo Tired
This is just me whining, be forewarned. I am soo tired this morning, I do not want to be awake. But Wednesday is the day I work the morning shift at work, so I have to be here by 8am. Which is fine when I'm not pregnant, or at least get a decent night's sleep. But last night, between the acid reflux and baby waking up at 5am kicking my bladder, I did not sleep very well. And there has been some back tracking in the fight against morning sickness this week. So I'm back to taking the zofran at night again.
I pulled up Everything is Awesome from the Lego Movie to wake me up. And because it was stuck in my head last night. You should watch it. Its awesome.

Random Quotes 5/8
So last night we went out for dinner with Josh's cousin and his girlfriend. I was heating up my leftovers later (since I'm always hungry now) and I was asking if the microwave was the best way to heat up the steak. Josh's response: steak yes, foil no. They had lined the takeout box with foil when they boxed up my leftovers. Me: Really? I'm putting it on a plate. Josh: I didn't know, you can't blame me. With your pregnancy brain, who knows.
And these are from today.
Me: We're past the point of no return, babe.
Josh: Why?
Me: Baby bump sticks out of a loose t-shirt even now.
Josh: Not really, you look like you could just be a fatty.
I'm walking around getting ready, patting my belly.
Josh: Are you hitting him?
Me: No. And I can't feel him squirming around, so he can't be that upset about it.
Josh: You're going to make him go deaf.
That husband of mine sure makes me laugh.

Swan Lake
Last night we got to see BYU's ballet performance of Swan Lake for free by being guest ushers. I had never heard of being a guest usher before. One of Josh's friends and his wife had signed up, but couldn't do it. So we took their place. It is not a bad gig. You are required to wear a white shirt and black pants or skirt and black shoes. We got there maybe an hour before and wrote our names on our name tags. All we had to do was pass out programs once the house doors opened at 7 (the show started at 7:30). Josh was at the main lobby and had the busiest door. I was upstairs chilling with 2 other guest ushers since they apparently overbooked. They were 2 girls who were high school juniors in high school. They were refreshing and entertaining. We didn't have too many people walk through our door. A few minutes before the show started, we got our tickets scanned and went to sit down. And we actually had pretty good seats. Especially since we didn't pay anything for them. I have never seen Swan Lake performed before. The closest I got was the Swan Princess movie. It was a very good show. It always amazes me how they are able to tell a whole story with just music and ballet, no words or dialogue.
